Each 1 Gram Valcambi Gold Bar in this product listing from JM Bullion is packaged inside a blister-proof plastic casing. It includes an orange Assay card that lists the individual serial number of the representative bar and the assayer’s mark.
On the obverse of each bar you’ll find the rotating square logo of Valcambi Suisse at the top. Following this image, vertically, is the engraving of the weight, metal content, and purity of the product. At the bottom of each bar is the assayer’s mark followed by the individual serial number. All serial numbers on Valcambi bars consist of two letters and six numbers.
The reverse of the 1 Gram Valcambi Gold Bar includes only the words “Valcambi Suisse.” These are arranged vertically along the left side of the bar, starting in the lower left corner and ending in the upper left corner.
Valcambi Suisse was founded in 1961 in Balerna, Switzerland. The company originated as Valori & Cambi, and following acquisition by Credit Suisse in 1968, the company took on a combination of its original name with the new owners. The combination was, of course, Valcambi Suisse.
