First issued in 1997, the Silver Britannia series follows in the footsteps of the Gold Britannia coins, which debuted ten years earlier in 1987. This silver coin program offers a range of weights that include options from 1/10 oz silver all the way up to 1 Kilo silver coins. The earliest known coin featuring Britannia was issued by Roman Emperor Hadrian around 119-122 CE to commemorate his visit to the British province. These bronze sestertii depicted Britannia as a seated female figure, establishing the foundational iconography that would influence representations for centuries to come.
All 2026 1 oz British Silver Britannia Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These coins are shipped individually in protective flips, with multiples of 25 packaged in acrylic tubes and multiples of 500 coins in Monster Boxes. Each box holds 20 tubes of 25 coins each.
